Put safety first with the North West’s forklift training experts

It is reported that many industrial accidents involving lift trucks are caused primarily by insufficient or a complete lack of training. This can result in injury to the forklift operators and to those people working around them, most accidents involving forklifts are serious and some can even lead to death. It's important that employers ensure members of staff are properly trained and competent. We provide accredited training to a wide range of UK companies and our team of forklift truck trainers are frequently delivering courses in Warrington and across the North West.

Are you looking to gain your forklift licence?

To help you find the right course, first think about what experience you already have, if any. If you have never used a forklift before, or only have a limited amount of experience, you will be classed as a novice and need to take a course which can last from three to five days. If you have undergone formal training before, you may need an experienced operator or a refresher course, depending on how long it has been since you used a truck. Get in touch with our friendly, expert trainers who can advise you  which course is best for you.

Commercial lifting equipment training courses

Counterbalance

The counterbalance lift truck's counterweight is a weight that, by applying an opposite force, provides balance and stability of a mechanical system. The purpose of a counterweight is to make lifting the load faster and more efficient, which saves energy and causes less wear and tear on the lifting machine.

Reach truck

The reach truck covers most aspects of warehouse applications including loading and unloading, receipt and dispatch, horizontal transport, order picking and stacking at up to 13m. The truck is designed for narrow aisles where a counterbalance truck may not be able to access.

Moffett/vehicle mounted truck

The Moffett is the specialist for medium to heavy-duty tasks, with a seriously efficient power-to- weight ratio. Lifting up to 2,500 kg, it transfers loads quickly and safely throughout busy yards, warehouse facilities or traffic. The Moffett is designed for a wide range of industrial and commercial applications, designed to be portable to enable you to unload yourself when lifting equipment at point of delivery is limited.

Yard shunter

The Terberg is a robust, heavy duty lifting machine. It excels at shunting in distribution centres. Being fitted with a lifting fifth wheel, it's able to handle semi trailers in areas where space is limited, due to its agility and small turning circle.
